JULY 4th, 2008 Prophetstown Lions Fireworks 12,000--15,000 spectators will witness the beautiful fireworks on the banks of the Rock River in the Prophetstown State Park. The 3 on 3 basketball tournament (Registration) will be held in the morning. The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor kids games

At the St. Catherine's Catholic Church beginning at 9 a.m.  Karen Holland will be our appraiser.  There is no prior registration necessary, just bring your items that morning, anytime after 8 a.m.   The fee will be  $5.00 for each item or 3 for $12.  Cookies and drinks will be served.  It is always a fun and interesting event!  .
October 19, 2008 23rd Annual  Coon Creek Men's Club Farm Toy Show Farm toys and collectibles displayed & sold at the high school. Display of antique farm equipment. Admission 9 AM--3 PM. 815-537-2881
November 1, 2008 Prophetstown Main Street Banquet Annual Meeting to recognize volunteers and nominate and elect new board members and officers.
November 22, 2008 Masonic Lodge Homemade Chili & BBQ  Supper Held at the Fire Station beginning at 4:30 on Parade night.
November 22, 2008 Chamber of Commerce                           Annual Lighted Christmas Parade Starts at 6p.m. and travels down Washington Street from south to north
December 6, 2008 Main Street's  Charity Event Auction and Wine Tasting At 6:00 trees, wreaths and swags are to be auctioned off with the proceeds ( less 25% for administration) going to the local charity of the winning bidders choice.  The Auction will be preceded by a wine tasting from  4:30 to 6.
December 13, 2008 Annual Candy and Cookie Sale The Prophetstown Area Historical Society will have their annual candy and cookie sale  from 9 a.m.-? (whenever we are sold out).
September 12, 2009 Peder Eide Concert In Eclipse Square from 4-8 Christian Rock and Roll
